Trolling is often the most efficient method of fishing the big waters of lake Superior. Trophy Walleye, Smallmouth Bass & Northern Pike are available in the shallower waters of Chequamegon Bay... Lake Superior tributaries & streams are renowned for their spring steelhead, fall salmon, splake & brown trout fishing. Fly or conventional tackle is used on the streams. Stream fishing can be a physically exerting trip. SMALL MOUTH BASS Chequamegon Bay is well known as a world class Smallmouth Bass fishery. In the early springtime "Smallies" are in the warmer shallower waters where they provide exceptional action for either the fly fisherman or those using more conventional gear. Tactics for these fish vary according to weather patterns & the time of the year. This is a quality "catch & release" fishery managed for trophy sized Smallmouth Bass. MULTI-SPECIES TRIPS The inland lakes around Lake Superior are famous for all kinds of quality fishing adventures. Depending on the time of year, one species or another will be "on the bite" & prove to be an exciting target. Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Crappie, Perch, Bluegill & others are all fished at different times. These trips are perfect for those who want to catch fish & keep a few for dinner or for those time when we might get blown off the Big Lake. Wilderness c anoe trips for multi-species are available, as well as fly fishing only canoe trips for lunker Brown Trout on several nearby Northern Wisconsin Rivers & Streams. MUSKELLUNGE Muskies are the premier inland gamefish of the North Woods. The Ashland, Bayfield & Iron County lakes fished by Outdoor Allure Guide Service are known for their exciting action.
